Because there is a 12 foot python on the loose in Norman.

“He’s a really, really nice snake,” Schmid said. “But he’s hungry, and when’s hungry he could be dangerous.”

Things like this make me giggle in an inappropriate way.

And I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but I'm thinking maybe Mr. "Hey, How Do I Take Care of This Snake?" should be able to recall a few minor details about some guy who sold him a FREAKING 12-FOOT PYTHON and the investigation should proceed accordingly.

I found the front part.

snake, shmake....there's a tortoise on the loose, too.

No, the tortoise was not taken again during the second theft. Tippy is safe and secure and unable to wreak further havoc on unsuspecting Normanites.

I'm the same way. I had many pet snakes when I was a kid - the best being the California Kingsnake. What a magnificent animal..

But I'm like you...anything with more than 4 legs should die. Except preying mantises. They're kind of cool

They suck. But anything with more than 6 legs should die, with only 3 exceptions. 1) The big, pretty garden sp*ders that build huge webs 2) Hugo (because he protects my kitchen and only freaks me out when it rains a lot), and 3) this freaky sp*der i found in a flower in Greece. It looked exactly like the center of a the flower, and it wasn't creepy. So I think it's okay...

How does a tortoise ESCAPE from the zoo and how does a snake(python,no less) escape twice? If I had been the Norman PD officer who found the snake the first time, this would all be over.Shotguns work nicely on snakes, only an idiot uses a pistol.

In a related story, it seems as though Norman PD hired their sketch artist straight out of the Art Instruction School. This explains why all the human perps in Norman resemble pirates.

Actually, they were all rejected 'cause they're tracers.

Yeah, but what if the "awesome" python was armed with an AK-47? Would you be scared then? Ha! He's not so cute now!

Are you crazy?

You are afraid of spiders but something that can eat you whole is okay?

http://img5.ranchoweb.com/images/kanunu/bigsnake.jpgEXACTLY. if it's big enough to eat me, it can't hide in tiny places and crawl around and creep me the hell out.

Oddly, that makes sense.

Still, if I learned anything from Anaconda, it's that giant killer snakes are world champions at hide-and-seek.

The only thing I took away from that movie was that Jennifer Lopez is a sh**ty actress.

Boa vs. Python was a ****ty, ****ty movie.

Starring not just one, but TWO former Playboy girls.

And it was made for SciFi channel, sothey couldn't even use the girls correctly.

Fail.

I took away the knowledge that, back before anyone knew what a horrible yainch she was, I would have hit that like I was drilling for oil.
