According to a ruling I saw on a similar play recently, the quarterback's whole body has to be beyond the line of scrimmage now and it does not matter where the ball is. I am not sure if that is a rule change but I don't recall that being the rule in the past. But if that rule is indeed true, then McToy had his foot dragging behind the line as he threw. :rolleyes:
