My wife, my son, myself, and my parents were at the Tulsa State Fair today and I ran into a sports booth in the expo building in which all three of these Heisman winners were signing autographs on various items if you purchased them there. My parents decided to buy me and my brother (OKC-SLC) each an autographed football as an early Christmas gift.
I already have Billy's autographed picture, so this football is going to go nice with it. They let my son and I have several pics taken with them as well. Great guys....and yes I'm freakin braggin!
Here they are signing our footballs...for fark free reasons I'm not posting the pics w/my son and I in them :)

Oh and sorry about the quality, they were taken from our Samsung cell phones cause our digital camera batteries died.

Thanks.
The crazy thing is we just kinda walked into the situation, didn't even know they were gonna have all 3 together doing it. I always hear on the radio of one or 2 of them signing somewhere...and I never make it to get their autographs. So it was nice to walk into that situation.

Yeah, I took my four year old little girl to the Cincy game earlier this year, and afterwards, I was able to get all of them to sign an authentic game used helmet that I had and was collecting autos on. Not only that, but I got the chance to get Steve's auto last year at the spectator tent (my son's first OU game)! Steve also was more than happy to take a pic with my son, too. Pretty cool stuff. These 3 guys are all class acts and great representatives for OU! Boomer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's cool. Yeah I'd say Steve and Billy were the most talkative and outgoing...JW was pretty quiet really.

I bid on a Heisman football at a charity event a few weeks ago and it went for $225 or $250 I believe. I bailed out at $200 because I thought I could get one, football included for around $150 tops?

Thanks!
And this is pretty cool....
My son is only 3 and a half years old and cannot fully understand the significance of the autographed football...HOWEVER he has already asked to see "our" football this morning. So I showed him the ball a bit ago, and I explained to him that we don't play with that football. Because the football players that we met last night, that he said Boomer Sooner to, have written their names on it and it makes it special.

I think he gets it, maybe a little anyways :D

50 bucks could have gotten you one at the fair expo.
In fact, I can't recall where you live, but my wife said she saw a sign that stated the 3 of them would be there again today doing the same thing between 12pm to 2 pm. Of course that would make you miss some of the OU v. Baylor game though.
They have a picture with the three of them in it for $40 autographed...also some mini helmets for $40. And they had a few other things, like ball caps, etc.
But I figured for 10 more bucks the football is the best deal.

They're apparently having some OU-Texas event at the new Bixby center soon with the three there if anyone in the Tulsa area missed them at the fair.

I'm not sure of the cost.

PS: You can get a Heisman football at one of the statue ceremonies for the cost of the football - cheer for one of our guys to win another one this year so that they'll all be out there once again!

Yep, they sign quite a bit together from what I've heard, so hopefully I'll get to an event that they're signing at one of these days. $50 seems dirt cheap to me.

Like I said, you could get it today, you'd just be sacrificing watching the game live at home....but you could have it today.

It was just awesome that there wasn't a huge line or anything like that. I guess the signing went unannounced or people ignored radio ads about it, one or the other.

I have the ultimate respect for JW.

I have a picture of him standing on the sideline with an ice bag taped to his knee when we lost to Nebraska in Lincoln. Nate Hybl tried to finish it for him but we just cOUldn't pull it off.

I was at the Game in Norman when he hurt his knee too.

I've had one knee injury...

Two makes me cringe.

He is The Man among 2 other guys that are both The Man.

Good Times OU-HSV!

The successful comeback from the two knee injuries was incredible. It's easy for us all to sit back and attempt to criticize JW's performance in some games, like the lsu loss, or the kstate loss...but when you really think about what all he did for OU Football and the way he did it...it's unreal.

Billy Sims looked like he could throw on the pads and helmet and play still today, he's pretty physically fit looking for a 1978 Heisman Winner
