"In no way did I ever hide or withhold information from Indiana University's compliance department. I vehemently deny the inference that I made and concealed impermissible calls," Sampson's statement said. "The NCAA has never alleged that I initiated any illegal phone calls to recruits while serving as the head coach at Indiana. I always provided Indiana with everything they requested, including all documents and phone records."

Few times have I felt such relief at firing someone. And look at who we have now...

It's just a reminder to anyone who wants to FIRE K-PRO or whatever the criticism of the month is that at least he's not Calvin Simpson :)

We had a good coach in KS. We have a great coach in Jeff Capel.

We had a great coach in Kelvin Sampson too, but however it happened, he went to bed with the wrong people and woke up with the wrong "itches." To downplay the job that he did while he was here is to do his coaching injustice, and that isn't the least bit fair. He may have done more with less than any coach in the country while he was here, and certainly any OU coach. It was when he finally started getting "players" that things started going downhill for him. I think he was better off being the tough S.O.B. whose teams took it to you every night, but when you lose like that, it takes even more out of you.

Yeah, the blue chippers not only got him sanctioned, but ultimately now left him jobless (and no, being with the gawd-awful Bucks does NOT count as employment!) at the college level. When he had hard workers like Hollis Price at the helm, we could do no wrong (except perhaps playing Syracuse at Syracuse in the Elite Eight).

Funny how when one goes against everything that made him a success in the first place he becomes unsuccessful.

Again, to re-iterate, glad we have Geoff K-Pro :D

what kelvin did at OU is no more than any other decent coach could have done.
and he constantly put his hands around his throat in the tourney.

...whoops, sorry, that is his dad who has the same name. Let's try that again:

Sherri Coale is still endearing, but none scurry like roaches
