If you all want to remember how during OU's "worst" Stoops year we're still better than Baylor's "best" Guy year and have fond memories of heavy traffic lasting into the night, this is for you!

Starts at 8 p.m.

Rhett Bomar sucks.

Tee hee, just overthrew another receiver. Man, I'm so glad we cut his arse during training camp. He probably would have held out for more money anyways, so might as well let him be a free agent.

NOOOO!!!!

Fire Stoops

How DARE he let Baylor take the lead against us?!

We aren't even going to a bowl game at this rate - first TCU, then UCLA, now pathetic, crappy BAYLOR. We doomed, people. Doom and gloom.

Wow, to be Texas right now and have a guaranteed trip to the Holiday Bowl. It sure sounds better than where we're headed now. 2005 is going to be a loooooong year

No, I believe Gute was the star of that night if I recall correctly. He saved the game for you all.

For both of us.

I mean... um... (back to 2005 mode) look at the scoreboard, idiot. You're ahead right now and we're awful this year... I mean, we MUST be awful if you're losing to Baylor. Man, "worse than Baylor" is what we chant at other teams, not what other teams chant at us! This is not the way I want to graduate. Why don't I just postpone my degree another season... maybe that No. 7 will be better by then.

psst... we're pretending like it's 2005 and that Baylor actually has a chance of beating us for the first time ever. Have you ever heard of "Delorean" car? Well, we got one of those and traveling back in time three years.

CK Sooner

Manny is tearing them up.

badger
10/1/2008, 08:25 PM
Man, that No. 7 is gonna end up getting a severe injury if he keeps trying to run the ball all over the place himself. I heard that Josh Heupel and the coaches are telling him not to, but he does anyway. It's like he's listening to some other guy that attends every practice and has a lot invested in No. 7's potential pro career or something... like a father-like figure or something.

He is still on campus at Norman taking classes. I see him a couple times per week. I talked to him once. He is a nice guy. Im sure he will be successful at whatever he has ahead of him.

The entire D on play action. Ugh. I was sitting in the perfect position to watch Baker bite on that pathetic play. He was in a cover-3 and was the deep responsibility with almost no run support responsibility. Yikes.

That was the game I sat with your mom, baj. Thank God I did, otherwise I would have been cursing up a storm. :D

Our receivers really didn't like their numbers that year. Johnson was wearing #6, and I saw Chaney on the sideline wearing #19, which meant that Finley must have been wearing a different number then, no?

Hey, nothing wrong with mentioning a national award winning player. If we had a Ray Guy winner, I'd mention him too.

 I'd be nice to have a top punter to go with our special teams right about now

It's amazing to remember how awful Big 12 officials were and are. The only difference is how we are now traumatized/numbed by the total incompetence of fudgePAC10 officials. Never forget that our Big 12 officials are in fact terrible too...Tex Tech?

Man, watching that game last night I got the distinct impression that the refs had something on that game.

I don't remember thinking it back in 05, but watching it again, it just seemed there were lots of strange calls, and anytime there was an iffy play, the camera angle magically had either a person in front of it, or on more than one occasion, the goal post.

Then how about the refs calling not one, but two, phantom timeouts trying to ice the kicker at the end of the game and in OT?

On the one in OT you can see Garrett raise his hands like WTF is going on!?!

I'm telling you, someone had something riding on that game. I dont normally buy into the conspiracy type angles but that was just too weird.
