Do we retain the tunnel this year? A couple of fans were saying we traded with Texas this year and they have the Tunnel.

Texas whined about wanting the option and when given the option decided to stay where they are. So yes, OU has the tunnel.

My tickets are in the same place they have always been so I have to believe that nothing has changed.

My recollection is that the tunnel issue was heavily discussed, but never finalized between the two schools. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I guess the issue could rear its ugly head in the future, but for now I think the odds of this occuring are about the same as Bevo fathering a calf.

my tickets are the same as last year, so we have the tunnel.

But the whinning got the curtains pulled up, so the texans dont get their feelings hurt.

Texas whined more about the fan interaction at the tunnel than where the fans were, so when they started doing the curtain thing to disallow said interaction (i.e. beer shower, popcorn shower, obscenity shower) it wasn't as big of a deal as to who was at the tunnel.

Find a whorn in the Sooner side equivalent and offer a trade. They'd be crazy to turn it down, and you'd be nuts to sit with those homo's. ;)

Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down? We do! We do!

I've sat on the Texas side four times....2001, 2002, 2003, and 2007. Note that each of those years OU won the game. It's actually pretty fun to be on the Texas side, at least from my perspective, since we won. In 2003, I was on the upper deck, east side, and had a great time chatting with this Texas fan about good of a team we had, as we were whupping up on his team. Despondent Texas fans are the best. :)

BTW...I happen to be sitting on the Texas side this year. ;)

That was a DeLoss Dodds/Mad Clapper thing, I was told by some UT people that some of the big money donors didn't want it because they didn't want to change their seats.

So what advantage is there for home team?

If we continue to play in the state of Texas, we should continue to have the tunnel. It's only fair.

The home team gets to host recruits at the game.
