Why aren't they ranked? They are undefeated, have been winning by obscene margins, and have wins over teams comparable to those of okie state.

No knocks to the day-glow orange wearing crowd but I'd say Tulsa is every bit as good as they are, yet they move down in the rankings while the Boone State fighten' Dairy Farmers jump into the top 25. WTF???

They need more exposure. The don't have a primo conference to help them out there, nor the wins over big-name programs like ECU did for awhile.

They will need to continue winning for several more weeks to get into the 20s.

Both deserve to be ranked.

A lot of teams deserve recognition, but there's only 25 spots to give.

As such... who didn't deserve the ranking that Tulsa should have gotten? You have 25 choices :)

Both deserve to be ranked.

I tend to agree. How friggen sweat would it be to have 3 ranked teams from little ole' Oklahoma?

Sad thing is, Tulsa will probably whip Arkie, and people will say, "So, they suck. No ranking for you!"

If we win out the BCS computer rankings are going to love our strength of schedule.

I don't think Va Tech and Wake Forest are better than Tulsa.

What's really funny is that those are the 2 highest ranked teams in the ACC this week.

Maybe so, but they have played just as many "Big Teams" as most of the top 25 has at this point.

My point in posting the top 25 was to illustrate how many teams are undefeated right now. Many teams with one loss just have losses to the undefeated programs, or have ranked team wins to make up for the losses.

Ah, well. Tulsa will get ranked if it continues winning. They're getting their brief mentions on ESPN (just like Oklahoma State got from Lou Holtz on Saturday night). Cue "only ranking that matters is last one" rant.

Isn't college football such a weird sport? with the rankings and no tournament? I dog the system a lot. But I think all this controversy is what makes it so great.

I'll take Va Tech, Wake, and Utah

Don't forget Vandy and Boise, those tater shuckers have played many a close game with Tulsa and I have no doubt that the Golden Hurricane could knock them out of the polls.

Of all the things that make college football great, controversy is WAY down the list.

College football's greatness is that we debate ALL TOPICS each week. BCS contenders, hardest game, Heisman favorites...each week is THAT important! Hell, the White Sox and Twins have played 162 games over the last six months and still haven't decided ANYTHING!!
