Against Carolina he was 17/77, he had several games under 100 last season as well because there was no threat of a passing game.

right..of course he only had 17 carries cause he was a game time decision with his hammy...thats still around 4.5 yards per carry which is a good NFL average....I would say that is successful ..before that he went for 160 and 103...probably against some 8 man fronts....

there was several games where he was under 100, but there was a bunch were he was over 100 with those 8 man fronts..

in fact I would say IMO that 1340 yards in 14 games against 8 man fronts= big time success

Yes, but AD isn't in OU's backfield anymore......I was using him as an example that even great backs can struggle against stacked fronts at times. Brown and Murray aren't close yet.

IMO, it has not much to do with the backs but how your blocking up front..If they are gonna send extras, its imperative you have TEs out there who can run block if you are gonna establish a run game....FB has to be accountable....and your offensive line has to make them pay up the middle when they are sending lb's off the edges like TCU was...OU OL lost one on one battles against guys smaller but quicker

Of course it does, but we did play the top rushing defense in the nation.

Good point(s). IMHO, dump the huge OLine and (in future seasons) go with a smaller, quicker, more athletic one. If the huge line was keeping Bradfords uni clean all night that would be one thing, but they let a fair amount of pressure get to him, as well as not opening holes for the RBs.
