For some unknown reason they still believe it's 2005, and we are replacing 14 starters, in the first game of the season, with no idea who we are starting at quarterback or what our offensive identity will be.

I've got a buddy that lives in Fort Worth (TCU grad and superfan but OU's his second favorite team) and he sounds confident about the game. Well, I'm confident, too; I'm confident that it won't be 2005 and even 1996 all over again.

As stated above also, which goes for both sides of this newfound "rivalry," I'm sure USC thought Stanford was going to be easy in 2007, also. We were pretty sure both times we lost Fiesta Bowls that we were the finished product, too.


I will simply be pleased with winning, but what I want to see is the O-line blowing holes open left and right for OUR RBs to run at will and Sam throws for 3-4 TDs and another insanely consistent final numbering. As for the defense, I'd always prefer a shut-out, but I'd much rather see a team challenged and be able to adjust and shut the opposition down before it's over.

This is a game at home where we need to go out and win 42-14 or something impressive like that if we are going to be a Legit Natl Title contender, TCU's D is alot better than uw and probably a little better than cincy

Hopefully losing to cu last year will help with that this entire season, and Sam now knows to not tackle big D lineman.:)
