I don't have to watch. I saw it live and then the ONE slow mo replay that Fox showed of it. Brutal...me and my father in law each let out a scream.

I feel bad for the kid...he was in extreme pain...and that sucks for him.

Big blow for the horns, too...I prefer we beat them at full speed.

As bad as that looked, I'm glad there was no camera angle from the side of it. That would have been horrifying.

This is a good kid with a ton of talent. He was doing for our their offense what Gresham is doing for ours: providing a versatile player that can play in and out of the box. Hate to see that happen to anyone. Here's praying for a full recovery.

Yep, almost exactly only Irby went over the top and it flopped around more.

I've gotten to know Gary Reasons a little bit over the last couple of years, and it is everything I can do to not ask him about the Theisman injury. I'm sure he doesn't like to think about it, much less talk about it. The way the Giants reacted to that one on the field told the whole story. I'm not even going to look at your damn YouTube, JM. I wish that kid the best. Nobody deserves that type of injury, even a Horn.

I hope for the best, but I must admit that the injury doesn't look half as gruesome at McGahee's.

NormanPride
9/23/2008, 12:06 PM
Actually, I just went back and looked at McGahee's. Irby's was 10x nastier looking, because he went over the top. Oh man, poor kid... But McGahee got back and is doing okay in the Pros now, right? Keep your chin up, Mr. Irby.

Harry Beanbag

Theisman's was of course terrible, but we think back on it kind of in sick nostalgic way since it's really the first injury of its kind that anybody can remember. Napoleon McCallum was the worst one I've ever seen.

I know. Not funny in and of itself at all. What was funny was the call to prayer music and commentary about the "Angel of Death."
