This is a good omen. After a weekend that showcased the SEC, we maintained and actually gained a first place vote. The Big XII and SEC both have 4 teams in the Top 10 in each poll, and 5 in the Top 20. Vandy and Aggie Lite are about he same, and the Huskers and the Buffaloes are knocking on the Top 25 door. Here's a question, if the PAC 10 continually stinks it up, will there be enough banter from the SEC, Big XII, and Big 10/11 to say that their claim to #1 isn't any better than anyone of their teams? All they have done is beaten the worst team in the ACC (I think Baylor is better than the Hoos) and an Ohio State team who looks like they are sleepwalking through games. Personally, I think Penn State would give them a good game, as would UGA, FLA, LSU, us, Mizzou, Bama, or even texass.

Is it good or sad that the MWC and WAC have more ranked teams then the PAC 10 which is tied w/ the Big East?

Well, after the number ECU did on West Virginia the week before, CU's win over them doesn't seem that awesome.

Any time you beat Steve, people will think your really good. Regardless of how good they are.

South Carolina is horrible. Their team is almost always playing on emotions alone. If they win it's only because they're hyped up enough or pissed off enough.

Colorado has been a bit disappointing in their last 2 games (Eastern Washington, West Virginia). I thought there were going to be improved this year, but so far they look about the same as last year. That's why I say UT arrives in Dallas at 5-0; I don't see CU as the threat I thought at the beginning of the season. BTW, West Virginia is a shell of last years team. The defense is rebuilding on the offense is down to 2 players - Pat White and Noel Devine. Two very good players I'll admit, but not enough to make a good team. On top of that, their coach looked dazed and confused. Long way of saying that CU doesn't deserve a lot of cred just yet. They do have better players and they have managed to win, so they have to ability to get better and earn some cred.
