I was really surprised when I looked at the gameday website. College gameday for week 4 with be at Auburn. LSU comes into town to play them. I was really surprised that Arizona State did not get the game, since Georgia was coming into town. I guess the loss last night might have messed it up, and the Gameday crew probably does not want to wake up and start airing the show at 7 A.M. again.

Anyway just thought it was somewhat interesting.

Two unbeaten top ten teams and the defending national champion or...

A team hosting that just lost at home to UNLV.

No brainer. ASU screwed this one up.

Um, don't they pretty much start airing the show at the same time every week?

Depends on the time zone. If they are on the east coast it starts at 10am est and they are broadcasting at 10am, If they are on the west coast they start 10am est which is 7am pst.

Yeah, but to them, it's the same time regardless. Perspective, people.

Try reading something that doesn't have pictures of cheerleaders in it for a change. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circadian_clock#The_human_circadian_period)

If they are on the West Coast they start the show at 7. Mountain 8, Central 9 (that's us), east coast 10.

No, they start it at 10am Eastern. The same time they do every week. Physically, it's exactly the same time. Everything else is just numbers on a clock.

Yes, you did.

Okay, lemme see if I can explain this so that you'll grasp it. It'll be hard 'cause I can't type in crayon drawings, but here goes:

You know how whenever we change the clocks forwards or backwards, you body still runs on the same schedule it always does for a while before it resets to the "new" time? Same deal. If you live your entire life on Eastern time, then fly out west for a day or two, it doesn't magically change your internal clock to the new time. The clock says 7:00, but their bodies say 10:00.

If that doesn't work, just tell yourself it's magic.

Bri is right on this one. Game Day always starts at 9 AM Central, 10 AM Eastern, 7 AM Pacific. So the Game Day crew would still have to broadcast at the same time each morning. If they were in Cali they would start at 7, but it would also be 10 AM Eastern time and 9 AM Central.

Can't believe I got into this discussion... HA!

I predict LSU will win 2-1 in a shoot out.

Still its the fact of airing at 7 in the morning. And if they get there Thursday night, which I think they do, It does make a difference come Saturday morning. Because the time Saturday Morning comes around there is a huge difference between 7 and 10 A.M. Your body is already adjusted. OH and if you want a drawing, ask me and I'll send you one ???
