That's crazy. Not an easy trip for a budding program. I thought they represented well.

What they showed tonight is that their program is on a significant upswing, and last year wasn't just a "soft schedule". Are they a top 10 team? No. Are they a Big 12 title contender? Only with a lot of help. But they are a top 25 team, and for Kansas, that's significant progress.

Now Mangino can go back to Lawrence and kick his AD straight in the nuts for scheduling that game in the first place. Suicide mission.

I agree, Kansas doesn't suck. I loved the grit they showed coming back from 2 TD down in the 4th on the road with everything going wrong. The coaches got greedy when the had OT in the bag and it cost them. I think they were right in going for it and trying to get into FG range for the win. Even a pick would not have hurt them if it was down the side-line where it couldn't be returned, but down the middle ended up badly. I admire the moxy though.

Given, they blew our SOS a bit but from watching our first two games, and then Kansas last night, we look to be on a whole different level. The speed on offense and D for Kansas looked light years behind us. Reesing made a few good throws against a mediocre secondary with limited pressure from the front 4 early. Once they got some pressure on him, he made a few bad decisions(and had a few drops). It looked to me that we should beat Kansas by 17, especially at home, if they continue to look they way they did last night.

It was a good game. Both teams had some speed. USF dominated the 3rd quarter and, really, the 2nd half. The looked sharper. KU drives were highlighted by fingertip athletic catches and absolutely no running game. USF's D-line was dominant all day.

I thought KU looked like the better team. Reesing was clearly the better quarterback even though that one last pass he was not accounting for all of the defenders.
