He would continue to provide military aid to Pakistan as long as their government was acting to close terrorist training camps and preventing the Taliban from using Pakistan as a staging area for attacks in Afghanistan.

However:

"There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. It was a terrible mistake to fail to act when we had a chance to take out an al-Qaida leadership meeting in 2005. If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will." -Barack Obama, Aug. 2007

He will target terrorists within Pakistan regardless of whether he has the permission of the Pakistani government.

Pretty much true. The thing is, he is highly entertaining to those who want to hear his schtick and have his political leanings, so he is very commercially successful. That being said, it is sad when some people's political opinions are so influenced by right-wing political pundits, who are basically entertainers who feed their audiences what they want to hear. Quik Trip's donuts suck, though. They just taste funny. I think it's a psychosematic thing from the OU/TU game last year when half of Oklahoma got me wobbly drunk on various whiskeys and beers. I stopped at the QT across the street from Skelly Field and bought some snackies. I ate one of their donuts, then when I threw it back up ten minutes later, it had magically reassembled.

It makes me think back to college at OU. A friend of mine, who is now a state senator, was a right-wing conservative, very connected and active with the local GOP. My friend had a hanger-on classmate who was a Rush fanatic who quoted Rush and expoused all of Rush's views. Well, my friend had to listen to this Rush clone every day, and he got sick of him fast and could not take Rush Jr, even though both were politically-conservative. My friend was a serious political type who had to be able to analyze different positions and formed his own views and positions on issues, usually conservative. But he just could not take someone who bought into all of Rush's entertainment antics and could not think for himself, even a fellower GOPer. No, it's real. He got sick of hearing about Clinton being the "AntiChrist" or whatever Rush said, even though he did not like Clinton himself. The guy sat next to my friend in class telling of all the insightful things Rush said on tv. After a while, my friend could no longer take the guy's droning.

And no, I think you are a lost cause - going to be a ditto head as long as Rush stays on the air. It was commentary on the type of persons who take Rush so seriously. And for the most part, people who worship Rush cannot think for themselves, IMO.

What is it with conservatives who call anyone who disagrees with them "socialists" or Marxists"? It's about as silly as Democrats calling conservative people "fascists" or "Nazis." Oh, that's right. They picked it up from the right wing media punidts. I am betting Hannity or Rush use those terms all the time. Way too original to think up on one's own!

I must respectfully say you both are wrong. The Sausage Egg and Cheese McMuffin is by far the best breakfast sandwich at McDonalds. I found a low-fat substitute for it though. The Jimmy Dean D-Light is almost as tasty.
I must respectfully say that YOU are wrong. The best breakfast sandwich at McDonalds, nay, the planet is the Steak Egg and Cheese bagel. 641 Cal of awesome.:

You are clearly high. The chewiness alone of a bagel makes it a poor choice for squishy sandwiches, and the hole presents a serious problem for all but the most stable of fillings.

I didn't know McDonalds still had those.

You make an interesting point. The last time I had one of those I believe I was a wee bit high.

But you really need to try one before you pass judgment.

I tried them on a couple of occasions when they first came out. They were very tasty, but very difficult to eat. Now the new Southern-style chicken biscuit/sandwich is where it's yeah. Yeah, it's a cheap knock-off of Chick-Fil-A, but it's the only thing I can eat at McDonald's anymore that doesn't make me sick.

That's okay as long as I scoop of most of the pint of tartar sauce they put on it.

Nothing will EVER top the McDonalds breakfast burrito. Sheer perfection.

Cheese, pork, and egg wrapped in McLovin goodness.

The trick to bagel based sandwiches is to make them open faced, like Lox which is tasty, tasty goodness.

Plus, the cream cheese holds the lox on so the hole isn't an issue.

nobody i know from the east coast does that.

it makes sense, but no one does it. you just have to bite correctly. and if they aren't boiled, they aren't bagels.

that ain't true. i loved Hardee's breakfast. CFS and eggs biscuit.

and i ate a lot of Egg McMuffins.

here local, we have a place that makes a sloppy 3 egg and bacon cheddar biscuit. it's good. not real biscuits but the lack of oversight on costs re: egg, cheese, and bacon or chorizo....is a *win* for the consumer.

I think considering our relationship with Pakistan we should axe first but if they are not quick in responding or not helpful, then what? Tough ****? Oh well.

What's the point in asking if we're just going to do it anyway? I can't keep track any more which countries we're allowed to invade and which ones are off limits.

Yeah, and I don't think they're even trying anymore. Remember the media frenzy and long lines when they announced they were closing, then the big to-do when they reopened as Casa Viva? Well, I was driving past there last week and the signs are back to "Casa Bonita" and they just had a banner hanging up underneath it that was all, hey, we're open again if you'd like some skee-ball and the runs".
