Some random number keeps text messaging me, and those things aren't free. Is there a way to block text messages from a certain number?

it wouldn't be so annoying if the messages weren't:
"@1I need a girl friend now im jake"
"What up date me"
"Im jake i need a girl friend can you date me"

:O Sorry, I thought you'd enjoy them. Or possibly that you needed a date.

I'd think it'd just be completely blocking the number.

Is it a text to landline or text to cell?

because I don't think you can block either.

If you have AT&T, I believe there's a way to go onto their website, log into your account, and block numbers in general.

Text them back:

"i will date u cuz i need a babydaddy"

"wait where r u going?"

We got one of those Text to landline calls yesterday. It came from Unknown Name, Unknown number.

And who knows, Jake might be desperate enough to be a baby daddy. ;)

Just call Doleo and tell him to stop it or you'll have OlVet beat him up.

Or better yet post up Jake's number and we can all run up his phone bill with calls at 3 am.

I don't know if there's a way to block numbers, but contact your carrier and see if there's something they can do. And if you hear of a way to block them, will you post it please? TIA and good luck!

Bwahaha.

Um, TrendMicro actually makes Mobile Security for mobile phones - does stuff like blocking spam text messages. Except you have to have a smartphone / PDA to install it.

But i probably ought to start looking for a new phone anyway. My screen tried to die the other day. That worried me. But I turned the phone off and took out the battery and when i started it back up it was fine.
