North Carolina @ Rutgers, yep there is nothing else to do on a Thursday night besides watch football. I'm a big Thursday night football fan because it gets me ready for a big weekend of football.

The point spread is sitting at Rutgers giving 4.5 - 5 points. The over under is sitting at 46.

We'll as always let me hear your picks and reasons why, please!

Carolina's got Blake. That spread's way too low. :P

Also tonight, on ESPN2, Wichita Falls Rider vs. Sulphur Springs. This matchup features two of the top quarterbacks in the state of Texas, as well as OU commit Eric Ward, a Rider WR. Rider is No. 7 in 4A after losing to 5A Cedar Hill last week. Ward had 144 yards receiving, 87 yards rushing and two touchdowns in that game.

This game is pleasing me. The sudden proliferation of red Rs in my area is sickening. Ok, not as sickening if they were orange Rs.

Rutgers got owned last night. Now it looked like North Carolina was All-World but I am glad I am not a fan of the big R.

Forever, it seems, Rutgers was the Big East equivalent of Duke/Vanderbilt/Baylor. No matter how bad the other teams in conference might be, they could count on a "W" after playing Rutgers. Two years ago however, the Knights fortunes changed when their new coach turned the program around and all at once they were playing for the conference title, going to bowl games, being showcased on Thursday nights and (gasp) beating ranked teams. All of a sudden it looks like the party is over. Maybe North Carolina is better than last year's 4-8 team but 44-12 better? Rutgers fell completely apart. Maybe if they were 1-1 last night could be considered an aberration but Rutgers is 0-2, having expected to be undefeated at this time and despite a few flashes of brilliance last night, they looked like crap. Of course, the entire Big East is sucking wind so far this season, giving the Scarlet Knights some hope for a decent W-L record at least in conference play.

Teal is absolutely horrible, he has an arm but chokes and gets flustered way to easily for a Sr. QB.

Damn lost money on Rutgers- my gut told me UNC's recruits would be too much for them.

Chop wood I bet would be taking the Miami job right now if he had another shot at it.

Not so good at the coaching part.

Did anyone else find it funny when they showed the students filing out in the 3rd quarter? That's something the big programs do, surely they didn't think they're one of the big programs now!
