i can't hear Moving in Stereo without thinking impure thoughts about Phoebe Cates

and all their really good songs were before my time, i think. i didn't know most of the songs you guys are mentioning were by the Cars for a long time
i basically just knew the ones from MTV :O

Yeah, same here. We first got cable the summer of 1984, and "You Might Think" is one of the first videos I remember seeing a lot. The other hits from Heartbeat City, like "Drive" and "Magic," really remind me of that summer. I have "Hello, Again" as the ringtone on my cell right now.
