When the hell did "POTUS" become cool? It sounds like a ****ing skin condition. The highest elected office in the free world should not be named after something that requires an anti-fungal cream! SCOTUS sounds like the same condition on my scrotum!

Too lazy to type president? How about prez?

For God's sake, people! STOP USING THESE IDIOTIC ABBREVIATIONS!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

Techincally, shouldn't it be POTUSoA?

I guess that does sound a little dirty when I say it out loud though.

I may have started it on here. Those abbreviations are used in the military for those entities. It saves time and avoids confusion. See, there is a President of Bolivia and a President of the Rotary Club, but there's only one POTUS. Thus, use of that abbreviation in official communications eliminates potential confusion that might arise from use of "president" in message traffic.

Ditto SCOTUS. Most every state and foreign country has a Supreme Court, but, like Barry Switzer says on every pre-game scoreboard video, "there is only one"...SCOTUS.
