Meanwhile, elsewhere in the land of getting on Stoops' nerves leads to indefinite suspensions... this (http://newsok.com/bomar-leads-bearkats-past-east-central/article/3290153/?tm=1219985338) and this (http://www.billingsgazette.net/articles/2008/09/05/sports/local/18-griz.txt).

The lesson? DON'T TICK STOOPS OFF... or you could end up beating up East Central Div. 2 or edge by Cal Poly. People ask "what if" Broyles played last year. Here's a more intriguing option: "What if" this was those two players senior year right now (assuming they sit out one year each as they did at their new schools), instead of Sam Bradford's second?

[QUOTE] Montana's run of 10 straight Big Sky titles matches the second-best streak in the history of Division I football, behind only Oklahoma, which won 14 consecutive Big 8 crowns from 1946-59. [QUOTE]

Here is another reason to cheer against Montana. But I am sure it is a great place to live. Lot of outdoor recreation, clean air, big sky, etc.

There wasn't a Big 8 from 1946-1959.

Wasn't it, like Big 6 or so back then?

1946 -- Big 6

1950-59 -- Big 7
