View Full Version : Where's the Bradford Love???

ESPN has a list of their TOP 12 Heisman candidates through 2 games, although it does include Utah's Kicker, Sam Bradford in no where to be found on the list.

This is an insult that can no longer be ignored.

I'm not saying Sam should win or that he whould even be a top contender at this point, but not even in the top 12? Not even ahead of Utah's kicker?

Ya can't write this off to "those guys are idiots" unfortunately they,re the main spin center for the award. It's obvious that the east-coast heads just can't have too many QBs from the midwest ratings wasteland hogging the news as they continue their SEC and USC love fest and struggle for ways to prop up the big east.

After last year and now this year's start, Sam should be in the top five, no-brainer, top three even.

Sooner nation, where's the outrage?

That is pretty bad that a kicker is listed above Sam.

Maybe its a mistake, or something. That can't be right.

We're more concerned with team achievements, such as actually winning our bowl game.

If you want to relive 2003, be my guest. Some of us would rather win championships.

Wondering why Sam isn't on a Heisman list doesn't mean we don't care about winning our bowl game...

If the team goes undefeated and scores at the pace that they did last year in the way that they did (i.e. lots of TD passes), Sam will be in the running when it counts. Second week of the season opinions don't really matter, who was the favorite at this time last year? I don't believe that it was Tebow, probably Booty and Ray Rice.

But...still....Utah's kicker@!?! lol.

I saw that, too, and it is strange...but we have to keep our eyes on the real prize. Only one trophy matters. And besides, Jeremy Maclin had two catches for 20 yards on Saturday...a MUCH better game than Sam had, right?

(I keed, I keed!!!)

We all want a championship first, duh, that is common sense. But still it is bull**** that Sam is not in the top 12. My question is what can he not do that Tebow, stafford, and Daniel can do? Besides have a better pass efficiency as a freshman? Sam only lost 2 games last year, Colorado and WV. I don't even consider the tech game. Although it does not really matter if he wins the Heisman, its still a great tradition or we would not have it in previous game time intros.

Yeah when you go out and throw 36 TD's as a Freshman, all the asshat voters expect you to throw 10 td's a game your 2nd year.

Didn't the TV color guy (Ed Cunningham) rank his top 5 QB's in the Big 12 during Saturday's game.....and failed to list Bradford at all. He even had the Husker stiff (Ganz) ahead of him.

We get dissed by ESPN no matter the category, so why be surprised by this one.

On the bright side, think of the pain they must endure this coming weekend when their two loves collide (SUC n TosU), prolly get the frills on their panties wet from all the tears. ;)

Yeah, that was in between his repeated references to "the last time Oklahoma played a Big East school that runs the spread". I'm not normally one to call out a broadcaster as "biased", but that guy wasn't even hiding it. And what a surprise, he played for UDub. Every time we ring up another TD on the Huskies this week, I'm going to smile while I picture a single tear running down his cheek like the old Indian from the anti-littering PSA.

Sorry to break OU rank here, but if a kicker won the Heisman, that would be... um... kick@$$!!!!

Really! Sam's a sophomore, he'll have another chance next year as an upperclassman. KICKER = HEISMAN?!?! OMG!!!!

We just need to keep working hard as a team, the individual stuff will come. He is only a sophmore, if he starts racking up crazy numbers he'll get his, just like Josh did in 2000.

I don't know how long there have been passing efficency rankings but has any OU QB other than Bradford ever finshed even in the Top 20?

I seem to recall some guy named Hipul or something that was pretty good at passing the ball. Or that may have been Chris Melson I was thinking of. I can't remember; I'm drunk most of the time we're playing.

The Davey O'Brien Foundation has named Sam Bradford of the University of Oklahoma the O'Brien Quarterback of the Week for week two. The sophomore signal caller led the Sooners in a 52-26 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday.

ESPN had Bradford in third place on Monday, then yesterday dropped him into fourth behind Sanchez. That's BS. They still have Tiebow #1, LMAO.

On a more sane note, si now has Daniels #1, Bradford #2, that makes sense.
