If you only saw the final score of 26-3, then it looked pretty good for Florida against a "name" opponent, some people still think of Miami as "The U" of old even though the are far from it. Most AP voters don't seem to watch much more than the team that they cover and we know the "coaches" (and others in the Athletic Department) probably don't either. Most don't watch games from 10am to midnight on Saturdays on two or more TV's like many of us do. I dare say that many "fans" are far more knowledgeable about the overall college football landscape than many of the "professionals" can be just because of our sheer volume of watching compared to the people who work on game days.

Of course, many fans are delusional and couldn't be objective but it seems like some of the "professionals" don't seem to be very objective either ("cough" Smellsofbourbon "cough").

Sounds right to me...I honestly believe ASU might beat Georgia in a few weeks. Doesn't matter yet, though.

Big 12 and SEC are so much better than other leagues. 10 of the top 13 come from those two leagues. OSU deserves some Top 25 respect...700 yards of offense yesterday. They will be in the top 25 before too long to give the Big 12 six ranked teams.

The voters are likely hoping that ohio state plays bad so they dont have to keep them high, almost losing to ohio is good enough for them. No one wants them in the title game again

Prime-time game on the east coast. But it was really more of a case of tOSU moving down than OU and Florida moving up. I honestly wish we were not ranked so high so early, but keeping the kids from do too much poll watching is just another responsibility for the coaching staff.

I really am surprised OSU is not getting more respect. Not that I care...just surprised. They are better than 30th or so.

And 5 Big 12 teams in the Top 12 of the coaches poll. Freaking solid league and don't tell me about the strength of the BOTTOM of the SEC and that is why they are superior. After Bama, that league is very average.

I watched a little of Tebow last night. The guy is gifted but he is not the best player in College football. He made plenty of bad decisions. He was bailed out on a few plays by the refs. He gets the Michael Jordan treatment on the field by the guys in striped shirts.

#3 is a good spot. If we arent stupid like last year, we should go undefeated into the RRS, where we should beat texass by at LEAST 2 touchdowns. But you never know what to expect in that game. Then all we have to really worry about is maybe Tech, and OSU in stoolwater. i like the way this looks.

Might have well have lost. Its not like that game will get them a bowl game. They stink. Heck, Tulsa will probably beat them at their house. They might as well write this season off. With DMAC and Felix gone they are toast in the SEC. They better start gameplanning for 2009.

Nice...ranked 3rd......Looks like we will be moved up to second when Georgia gets beat saturday or later this season. They have a tough schedule.
USC has only 1 tough game and that is this saturday. They SHOULD coast the rest of the way.

My prediction... USC vs. OU rematch National Champ Game.

Funny thing is that the hogs fans are shouting to the heavens that they will get revenge on Malzahn for leaving them(what choice did he have? Nutt pretty much shut him out on play calling)and have....i'm serious are picking the hogs to beat Tulsa by 35 points.
