The funny thing is that you try to tell people that you are an independant and everyone has an equal chance at the beginning to get your vote. Sad part is, I think you actually believe that you are objective.

Palin hired lobbyists to get millions in earmarks for her town when she was a mayor.

She was for the $300 million bridge until it became a national embarrassment. Then she dumped her supporters that would benefit from the bridge, and who helped her get elected, and said 'No thanks.'

That's okay. That's what politicians do.

She plays the game, just like any other pol. When it suits her politically to reform, that's what she does. When it suits her politically to be a pork-barreller, that's what she does.

If you want to pretend she's some superhero conservative come to save the day, you go right ahead. But I really don't think it's going to work out that way. She'll probably end up being fiscally conservative right up until the point it becomes unpopular for her to do so.

And you know how well that philosophy works in Washington.
