Something just "took off", sounded like from NW Norman and dayum if it didn't have engines sounding like the space shuttle or something...I grew up on Air Force Bases and I've heard a million afterburners...this was different. Lasted over a minute. The cumulus kept me from eyeballin anything. Several of my neighbors came outside and were lookin too...

Anyone else hear or see what it was?

My Son called yesterday and said that he had seen a couple of B-1's going in to Tinker. It could have been them leaving to the South. Maybe they buzzed the tower.:D

B-1s are effin' loud. Strangely enough, B-2s are virtually silent at the moment they pass overhead, even at low altitude. It is really weird to witness, actually.

Yeah, at our Rose Bowl, they flew and antique flying wing prop-job over the stadium, then later a Spirit. That thing is really spooky.

Yeah, i was gonna suggest maybe a B-1 flew into Tinker. Dyess AFB has a squadron of them here in Abilene. You get used to it, and grow to love watching them fly. Something that big going that fast is pretty amazing.

It's my opinion that something designed to bring the apocalypse should sound like the friggin' apocalypse. The Bone definitely qualifies on that front.
