Arkansas State has a better shot at the BCS title game than the AgPies do. The Saber Suckers drop a home opener to a Sun Belt team, and they're talking about running the table?

This is my favorite part:

Our schedule is tough and it is best to lose at the beginning of the season as opposed to near the end. This my have been what Sherman had planned as he did not want to expose too many schemes and plays. He played vanilla ball thinking we would still win but it didn't work however we still have our schemes and plays masked.

Look for the theatrical release Twelfth Man Out...the story of the 2008 Black Ags intentionally throwing games.

I was about to say let's not pick on someone when they're down, but yeah, that thread is pretty darn horrible.
'
I was expecting the theme to be "we can still win the big 12 south" or "we can still make it to ____ bowl."

yeesh.

Well, to be fair, the posts seemed to be evenly split amongst aggies who thought playing for a MNC was delusional and those who thought they had a chance. Not that this excuses those in the latter category. Eh, what am I saying - they're ALL MORONS!!!

Heck, it's about 10 times more likely that I'll give birth out my anus to a healthy 10 pound 8 oz. male goat than us winning an NC this year

Yeah, they're not all delusional.

Seriously, though... If you were actually at the game, then you would have seen what I saw. It's about 1000 times more likely that we lose the rest of our games and go 0-for than win out. No one on our schedule is less talented than A-State, and they outplayed us top to bottom.

Heck, it's about 10 times more likely that I'll give birth out my anus to a healthy 10 pound 8 oz. male goat than us winning an NC this year.

Also, isn't it interesting when a high profile team loses to a nobody, that nobody all of the sudden is viewed as "really good" and "we overlooked them"?

Hey, most of us realize what A&M is, and is not, this season. The ASU loss was quite the eye opener. We may win this weekend (may, not will) and if we do you'll really see the kool-aide drinkers out talking about how ASU was a fluke, etc, and how we're gonna rock the Big-12. We'll get a new reality check when Miami shows up on the 20th.

After watching ASU gash us up and down the field, I fear what you all, and Tech, will do to us at Kyle. Those could be very "2003 esque" the way we look right now.

Slocum years are starting to look good. Boy to I miss "Slocum on the cell" bit on Houston sports radio.

Unbelievable. A home opening loss to Arky State doesn`t spell disaster, it just means a bump in road to their BCS title. Geesh.

The Big XII is going to be a tough league this year. How can they NOT be too emabarrassed to post that crap?

Mac94

HumanAlphabet -

Yup, missing Slocum ... esp the early years of Bob Davie, Bob Toledo, and RC. THose were some fun teams with interesint offenses and great defense.

As for feeling sorry for me ... well, it's hard watching the Aggies right now, but they're my school and I love 'em ... but at least OU is doing well. I love watching OU football as well (dad was OU class of 74, grew up going to OU games)

I admire the Aggies' research into the state of delusion and anticipate further studies will give great insight into the limits of the human psyche.

I drop by TexAgs maybe once or twice a week 'cause one of my buds is an Aggie and I'm supportive during his times of Ag-grief.
I have NEVAR seen such a self-immolating, coach-bashing, negative forum in lo, these many moons I've been afoot on this mortal coil. If I ever posted there I'd pose one question to them, to whit: Do you guys realize that kids you want to recruit READ THESE POSTS???
There's a post over at ST that addresses this very matter. Worth a moment to read.
I respect the fine traditions and academic excellence of Texiz Aand/orM but I cannot understand the mindset of their so-called supporters. When we are on the losing end, however rarely, we carp a bit then move on. It appears they can't.

There is a reason why its known as Cultage Station. A proper sense of reality left that town a long, long time ago.
