This trip is an early Christmas present for my mom, and well...let's just say she and my stepfather aren't exactly foodies. I'm hoping I can at least talk them into hitting a local seafood place, but sometimes they get scared of restaurants that aren't chains:(

Know what you mean...

Took the folks out to a nice Italian place near their home in Atlanta. 5 of us, they were uncomfortable all evening. When the bill came to me, Mom said out to the group, "I bet that was expensive, probably a $150 dollars." I just smiled and paid the nearly $400 bill. They went through the Depression and were more frugal in their spending. After that, I decided I would take them to Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel or Red Lobster - they would enjoy it more.
