Is that a long time?

That's how long Barrack Hussein Obama was in the U.S. Senate before he announced he was running for POTUS.

Can't believe people are seriously considering this dude.

This just came out today.

Apparently Obama thinks he's qualified to be president because of all the hard work it takes to run for president.

he has good ideas

Hope, change, believe, and "I am the one" are not ideas!

Voting against the right for a person to defend himself in his own house.
Voting against "partial birth" abortion.
Voting against the death penalty for gangbangers accused of killing a cop.
Voting to require ammunition registration.
Supports passing Federal laws eliminating Right-to-Carry.
Supports restoring voting rights for 5 million criminals, including those who have been convicted of using a gun to commit a violent crime.
Supports a mandate to issue a government-issued license to purchase a firearm.
Supports banning the manufacture, sale, and possession of handguns.
AND - Appoint judges to the U.S. Supreme Court and Federal judiciary who share his views on the Second Amendment and other wild marxist ideas (See Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals).

You call these good ideas?

Some might consider less time in Washington a good thing.

Just sayin'.

Some have become every bit as paranoid about Obama as the "truthers" are of Bush.

Seriously, all partisanship aside, this was an astoundingly bad move for Obama. I can't believe he really said that. He should have just let the media keep doing the dirty work. Guess he got a little lonely on that high road.

Socialist chief endorses Obama

PARIS - The head of France's opposition Socialist Party strongly endorsed U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama (http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2008/09/01/20080901obama-socialists0901.html#) and said Sunday that an Obama victory would be "good news" for the United States and the world.

Francois Hollande said an Obama (http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2008/09/01/20080901obama-socialists0901.html#) presidency would usher in a positive, new chapter in international relations.

"We need an Obama victory next November," Hollande told supporters at an annual meeting in the Atlantic coastal city of La Rochelle. An Obama win "will be good news, not only for the American people, but for the whole world."

Hollande promised to work for the senator's victory, but he acknowledged that the French Socialists' endorsement could end up tarnishing Obama's image in the eyes of the American electorate, given the way some voters regard socialism.

It's not just French socialists. Pretty much every foreign country I've seen reports from is hoping Obama will win. They're all looking forward to improved foreign relations from the US.

See, I think there should be a certain unstated etiquette regarding posts of a political nature on the board and the posting of 'spek. Considering how divisive topics of politics inherently are, we could just go around neg'ing everybody with a political opinion we don't agree with I guess.

That seems to be philosophy of Sooner02. My posts must have hit a nerve.

Typical liberal pansy.

Well that's full of $*%& since I never negged anyone until I got bombed by one post by many different people.

It's not my problem that some here can't take the fact that others have a different political opinion.

Thank God we have candidates with integrity like Obama and Biden. God bless America.People with integrity don't hang out with the likes of Resko, Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright.

I got a nice chuckle though.
