Scheduled to be installed on Sept 8. Looking forward to my $250 bones just for signing up. No contract.

Anyone else have it? Time Warner's HD is kinda blah. :pop:

I have it. Got rid of Time Warner as well. The channels are great. The Internet is teh awesome. The search feature on the cable box is glitchy, though, and needs to be reworked.

Can't wait for the Family DVR software upgrade to finally be finished.

I've heard from AT&T techs that they don't wallfish Cat5 cable, so....how do they connect the equipment from the modem to the video equipment in each room??

Heh, Uverse is teh win!:Dhtt (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://dragonknoll.com/uverse/ModemInstall.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.uverseusers.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,2/topic,2903.0/&h=480&w=640&sz=93&hl=en&start=54&um=1&usg=__yg6aEnQBB91TDEl-guN8OJZSPXg=&tbnid=ydPmFLgzj8kZPM:&tbnh=103&tbnw=137&prev=/images%3Fq%3DUverse%26start%3D40%26ndsp%3D20%26um% 3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN)p://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://dragonknoll.com/uverse/ModemInstall.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.uverseusers.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,2/topic,2903.0/&h=480&w=640&sz=93&hl=en&start=54&um=1&usg=__yg6aEnQBB91TDEl-guN8OJZSPXg=&tbnid=ydPmFLgzj8kZPM:&tbnh=103&tbnw=137&prev=/images%3Fq%3DUverse%26start%3D40%26ndsp%3D20%26um% 3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://dragonknoll.com/uverse/ModemInstall.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.uverseusers.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,2/topic,2903.0/&h=480&w=640&sz=93&hl=en&start=54&um=1&usg=__yg6aEnQBB91TDEl-guN8OJZSPXg=&tbnid=ydPmFLgzj8kZPM:&tbnh=103&tbnw=137&prev=/images%3Fq%3DUverse%26start%3D40%26ndsp%3D20%26um% 3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN)

Btw, that is one long *** url.

People don't like those green boxes that the electric company has in front of the houses for the underground wiring, those ginormous cabinets that Uverse requires. Hmmmmmmm.

whats this rumored "family DVR" upgrade?

It would allow you to watch, rewind, pause any recorded program on the main DVR in your house. As it stands now, you can only watch TV on any non-DVR settop box.

I haz U-verse and I lik it.

By coax.

Do you have the HD setup Grapevine? One knock, and it's a minor one, is that if you have two HD boxes is that you can only watch say....ESPN HD on one and not on the other. In other words, you can only stream one HD channel at a time to a box, and not two. is this right?

my only dislike with the u-verse is that you can't dvr an hd channel while at the same time watching another one

Bear in mind I don't have HD by my in-laws do and they also have U-Verse. So I might be wrong on this info.

You should be able to watch the same HD channel on two different boxes.
By now, everyone should have 2 HD and 2 Standard Def streams coming into their home.

The problem you'll have is that you can only watch/record a combination of 2 HD streams at a time. If you're watching two different HD programs on two different STB's, you can't record a third HD program to your DVR.

The family upgrade means that if you're watching TV in the bedroom, but the HD DVR is in the living room, you can control it from there and watch your DVR'd recordings in any room in the house.

Pretty sweet, if you ask me...

My neighborhood just got Uverse but I'm waiting to buy it until they upgrade their HD streams from 2 to 5. Right now we have 3 HDTVs in the house, so we could only watch HD on two of them and wouldn't be able to record another HD show at the same time.
