I have stumbled upon a job that pays "$20,000 annual salary plus $45,000 per annum".
What the fudge? Somebody 'splain that to me. Does that mean $65K a year? Why don't they just say that?

Sounds like they are gonna pay you at a $20,000.00 rate until they fire you to me.
The $45,000.00 sounds like a hook.
Or...the benefits you'll receive have a $25,000 value making your per annum 45,000.

Ahh...I didn't think about that. The job is in Michigan anyway. I wasn't even considering it.
Sounds like a sales gig that's 1/3rd base salary with 2/3rds available in commission if you hit your metrics.
