I'm in the process of jailbreaking mine right now. Is there a huge chance I could brick this thing?

I tried to unlock mine and screwed it all up. Sadly, I hadn't done a full sync prior to the attempt and flashed back to 5/10/08. I had the box checked to sync photos and music only.

No more messin.

'Course 2.0 led to a stealthy 2.0.1 which stemmed from Apple messing up their own "jailbreak". 3G havers felt the sting more than us 1G'ers.

After you jailbreak your phone, make sure you download all the Apple updates when they come out.

Like don't delay, stop whatever you are doing and download them.

mine didn't get messed up from the jailbreak, but after i spilled sunscreen on mine, which also voids the warranty, i reset it and i hadnt synced it since january. this was in july. now the bottom 1/8th of my screen doesnt work and i lost all the phone numbers and such that i had added after january
