Did anybody notice that Phil Loadholt, Ryan Broyles and John Williams weren't in uniform tonight? Any idea whether they are injured? Suspended? Buehler?

I'm pretty sure Loadholt played. I heard something about Broyles getting in trouble again this week and not being about to play this game (see other posts). Not sure about Williams.

DOK speculated that it was suspensions for team rules violations. Makes me wonder if Stoops is cracking down on players for not taking things seriously?

That's good if true.

I am guessing that Loadholt didn't play because of the DUI earlier this summer. Who knows about the other two.

Williams maybe thinking of calling it quits. Rumor only, but apparently he's having trouble getting back on track after the achielles (sp?) problem. Thats supposedly one of the hardest tendons to come back from fully. :(

Loadholt is listed under the participation report (http://www.soonersports.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/2008-2009/01_utc.html).

Stoops mentioned that he doesn't like releasing suspension names because often times it doesn't warrant the negative attention it receives (picture in the paper, everyone's talking, etc.).

Loadholt did not play (disciplinary).
Broyles did not play (disciplinary).
Williams did not play (thinking of retiring).

Loadholt and Broyles will play next week vs. Cincinnatti.
Coaches have left the door open for Williams to return if he chooses to do so. But not earning a starting spot after a long rehab frustrated him, and he is considering hanging it up.
