Just talked to parents again, and they didn't let folks who left the stadium during the rain delay back in... per regulations....

You'd think after an hour and half of a rain delay they'd make an exception.... luckily they're parked where they can see the big screen from the car....

I can see where having 80,000 plus "hanging out" in a confined area for an hour and a half makes more sense than fans going to their cars......:rolleyes:

Reminds me of a funny story. Was at a Chefs game in 2K6 the day after we beat Mizzou. Wore my OU jersey to the game, and an MU fan approached me from behind, giving me hell about my choice of attire as we walked to the concessions. 10-15 seconds later, two HAWT chicks in OU gear came up to me, talking about how they used to be cheerleaders, etc. We clinked our beers, exchanged hugs, and shared a Boomer Sooner.....

The same man approaches me after that and says, "Dude, can I be a Sooner fan, too?"

I give credit to teams like the Mocs. They know they're lambs being led to the slaughter in games like this, and they don't ever quit no matter what. Most of guys were twice as big as their guys, and they were still flying all over the place. Wouldn't it be great if we could be focused for a full 60 minutes like that?

I figure that you paid $30 to watch it. I figured that most only like the half, because of the 50 points and all. Thus, a 7-2 baseball score half seems tame by comparison.

Therefore, I figure that it is just fortunate that for those of you that PPV'd it that you were not there when the storm hit and delayed that game.

That was some serimous lightning tonight...I picked an @ss day to ride my scoot to the game. Trying to get out of there when teh sky opened up, I ducked my scoot under a church awning and proceeded to have huge bolts zapping everything in sight...to the point where I could feel the heat of the bolts that blinded me for several seconds...pretty damn intense, even for this Okie-boy.

Got a 1/2 of really clean well-executed football. New scoreboard is great, especially replays. New opening is good, but not the best..."only 1 Oklahoma"

Oh, and they didn't do the delay of game / no QB tribute to Jack, as had been posted earlier.

Gonna scout Washington now...I was taping it, but Cox chose to drop their **** so that is a bust as well.

Kind of a crappy first Saturday of ball for me. Oh well, I'm in Seattle in two weeks! Sweet...

We came home after the lightening and rain stopped. That was one nasty lightening storm that came over the stadium very fast. First time ever we left at halftime but wasn't hanging around for another storm. First half was awesome!
