Barack is bi-racial, does he not claim his whiteness too? Or is he only allowed to be a black man?

No matter the outcome of this election...my faith in what makes this Country great has been somewhat restored.

When I was growing up...I remember teachers saying that anyone has the ability to grow up to be POTUS.

It's been quite a few decades since then & this is the first time we've seen it become a reality.

I think this is a good thing for our Country.

DEFINITELY. And that is a good thing.

Now if we could keep politicians from running the country.

Time will tell about that I guess...however...something needed to happen.

What has occurred in the last eight years has been great for some and sickening to watch for others.

No matter the outcome...I hope whoever takes it...takes ownership of it.

Yes, by the longtime standards of white people (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-drop_rule), his white half is a moot point.

(I mean not to imply that this is still the law anywhere, but even today, as a cultural measuring stick, any degree of easily identifiable non-whiteness usually leads others to call you something other than white. And almost exclusively that, not "half-white".)
