We're going inside of 'em, we're going outside of' em -- Inside of 'em! outside of 'em -- and when we get them on the run once, we're going to keep'em on the run. and we're not going to pass unless their secondary comes up too close. But don't forget men -- we're gonna get'em on the run, we're gonna go, go, go, go! -- and we aren't going to stop until we go over that goal line! And don't forget, men -- today is the day we're gonna win. They can't lick us -- and that's how it goes.... The first platoon men -- go in there and fight, fight, fight, fight, fight!!!! What do you say, men!!!!!!!

Actually it will be something like:

Go out there and show everybody that you can play football also. That some of the big schools that backed out on recruiting you made a mistake. Show them you deserve to be on their field, you may be a few pounds lighter or a step slower, but you can play as hard as they can. And if a break goes here or there your way, and you make your own luck with hustle sometimes, you never know and might find yourself in a game you can win. But give all that you got and leave it on the field.

I had mono for most of my sophomore basketball season. I hated that season so much I never went out for basketball again.

When I was mono-ing things up in dressy clothes on the bench - sometimes keeping stats or something - the coach would be screaming "SMART PASSES! SMART SHOTS!" at the girls playing as we fell behind 10-0... 20-0... 30-2... 40-3... 50-7... 60-9... 70-12.

This happened quite often. The team did absolutely nothing right and by the time I was cleared by doctors to play, the only thing I was doing was running myself sick from coach's punishment for losing by so many points the first month or so I was out. Halftime speeches went something like this:

Did anyone pay attention to a %$#@ing thing I said in practice? You think you are playing this %$#@ing game for a little fun? You are playing to %$#@ing win.

Because I was the sickly child recovering from mono, I stayed on the bench most of the season even after coming back to practice. So, I had every confidence that I had no part in our 60-point losses. However, it's not like coach was punishing the players that were diping us all into such defeats, because she kept the same players out there most of the game, even as they turned the ball over, shot airballed shots and passed to the other team, lol.

By the end of the game, it was:

"I have nothing to say to you girls." *walks out of the locker room*

I ran Cross Country and Track for all four years and never dealt with a coach quite like that one - never wanted to again, really. I wonder if Coach Moc is like that?

Look, I know that I had the Selmon Bros thang up here on the prize wall, but as you can see from my clearly displayed rules on the side of my carny truck, you must win 12 times in a row in order to win the Selmon Bros thang. For a single win, you win a SMALL prize.

You have your choice of a nose hair trimmer and a whistle that is shaped like a duck... but sounds nothing like a duck.

To play like there's no tomorow, leave the game with no regrets and that if they do that the game and score will take care of itself and they can be proud of themselves and their team.

Wouldn't call the other AP a little guy..started some last year for the Chicago Bears. NFL is bigtime. That dude is a career NFL back up and yes compared to AD he's a little guy (5'9 200lbs to 6'1 230) and AD is faster.

He was Cedric Benson's back up fercyinoutloud. Bwaaahaaa...

He's going to split carries with a Rookie and an average back. If the Bears thought that much of him they wouldn't have drafted Forte.

You're comparing apples to oranges. AD is a pro bowler (MVP of the pro bowl BTW).

The Bears' little guy is nice player, especially since he came from a small school in the minor leagues of College football.

From NFL.com

Known as "the other Adrian Peterson" in Fantasy circles, the Bears version is a solid veteran who will likely split carries with rookie Matt Forte and Kevin Jones in Chicago following the club's release of Cedric Benson. Peterson ran ugly in five starts last season, averaging 3.2 yards per carry with one touchdown, but he averaged over 90 total yards per game. He won't see as much work as he did in that late-season span on a weekly basis, but he should be in line for at least 10 touches per week splitting with Forte. Peterson is now a solid reserve Fantasy RB worth a late-round pick in all drafts this summer. (Updated 8/25/08)
