btw, when I played at Cascia, we were winless from my freshman year till about the 5th game my senior year (something like 36 straight losses). The late 70s, early 80s was not good times on Friday nights just south of utica square!!!

They had this running back named Kenny Gunn when we played them my freshman year...He had already run over me once(my freshman year) so the next time I dove at his feet...Even though I did come away with his shoe, it didn't stop him from running another 70 yards after I missed him

that was the mid 80 right> I think Gunn went on to play a Tulsa and did pretty well there. It was about 2 years after I graduated that Cascia first went out and got a high dollar coach, then he went after the 'right kids' ;)

Whatever the minimum height in on your NCAA Football game, whatever the minimum weight is on your NCAA Football game (It's probably 5'7 and 150, so that's a way's off, but close enough) - Marion High School, Marion, Wis. I played football with the boys on off-day cross country practices in the fall. OH! And I attended a lot of football games, even though we lost every single time! OH! And I've watched the Packers on television since birth!

As for position, as a badger, I growl a lot and dig holes in the ground in anger on PMS days. One day I was caged on the sidelines of a Wisconsin football game and decided I'd had enough and escaped. I caused many penalties because I was too angry to be caught by chasing Wisconsin officials. They decided to donate me to the zoo and never have another live badger mascot ever again for the delays in the game I caused the day.

So, I'll play cornerback. That way, I won't get cranky when you boys never throw me the ball :D

I had to play LB for our JV because we didn't have enough guys. I played 3 quarters Friday against Rogers and a full game Saturday against the Centerton varsity. We won both games. In the JV game I had a blocked FG and a recovered fumble for a TD. The only TD of my HS career. I don't know how many sacks we had that day. It was nutts how bad those guys were and our JV unis were nasty looking. Puke yellow pants and holey black jerseys. I was not really feeling good coming down from the Purdue colors we had on the varsity team.

I did not do much for my HS stats wise. I did my job and I got to start most of my junior year and all of my senior year. That is all that matters right? It is about the team and not about me! I'M A WINNER I'M A WINNER!

Oh, I also was OF/3B + team manager in baseball. Even batted .475 in limited PT in 2.5 years.

Not to mention they plan on having wrist rockets and other stuff there along with their own gas mask. Hitting them over the head is the easy part avoid getting hit in the head is the hard part with my size! :eek:

That was '88-'91 - if memory serves, we won state in '90 and lost in the final at '91 (in Stillwater...my first and last time at the hell hole of a stadium).

They had this running back named Kenny Gunn when we played them my freshman year...He had already run over me once(my freshman year) so the next time I dove at his feet...Even though I did come away with his shoe, it didn't stop him from running another 70 yards after I missed him

first, you guys need to get a room and stop bumping uglies on this particular thread...this is manly thread like ...;)

second, it doesn't matter when we play them, they won't like it. if we don't play them at thanksgiving, we are trying to keep them out of the national spotlight and if we don't play them early enough in the season then we are ducking them because we know we would lose to them if we played them early.....

quite honestly, i don't know just happy to be on this side of the dirt today...

In high school I was 6'1", 175 lbs. I played QB at a north Dallas suburban high school.

In college I played at 6'2", 205 lbs. I was moved to RB and became a starter my sophmore year. During my freshman season, we were national champions at the NAIA level. Also ran the 400M relay and threw the javelin in college.

Never played organized football, but I did baseball, cross country, track and tennis in high school. Baseball was my love. I enjoyed cross country but hated track. Tennis was just something I did my last semester to kill time (I wasn't playing baseball anymore then).

One of the assistant baseball coaches was also a football coach and he tried to recruit me to play. I was 6'1" about 185 and would've wanted to play LB or TE. But our football team sucked back then (Guthrie in the mid '90s) and our cross country team was racking up state championships so I stuck with that.
