What would you people think about raffling something else, with proceeds going to Sooner athletics?

You know, like a football signed by all living OU Heisman winners in a presentation case suitable for home or office? Ten bucks a shot, drawing at the last tailgate. Need not be present to win. We could mail it to a winner unable to attend.

What say you? srsly. If there is significant interest*, I'll organize it.

*like responses in this thread indicating we could sell at least 50 chances.

i think the shotgun ban is stupid. if it were me, i'd prefer a football signed by the 2000 NC team.

i've got one my dad got me from the 75 team, and that's pretty prized by me. when i move....along with my wallet, things my g-maw gave me, that's with me. not with the movers. no one else touches that.

R/N's now under administration of Joe C. and the athletic department. They nixed future shotgun sponsorships earlier this summer.

Why can't we make our own Rufnek Commemorative Shotgun in honor of the past tradition that is now lost?

Okay. I'll go see the folks at a local purveyor of Sooner football ephemera and see what kind of deal they'll make me on a ball signed by Sims, Owens and White and/or a ball signed by Switzer and Stoops.

Okay, here's the dealio. The store I checked with will make us a deal on a ball signed by White, Owens and Sims with a mirror back display case. This is do-able.

Also, I have an option on specially created framed canvas painting of the Selmon's that looks a lot like this (without AD of course):

It will be rarer because these guys have been working on this project for two years. All three Selmon brothers will be in Tulsa to sign these later this month and they aren't all together in the same place much.

So, here's the thing. Which do you guys want to buy chances on?

Triple Heisman Ball?

Signed Selmons canvas?

Both?

I'd do a poll, but when my sponsorship lapsed I lost the ability -- I know, I'm gonna give Phil a check at the UT-C game.

Okay. I am going down to purchase these items today on behalf the the lucky winners-to-be.

1) Football signed by all three OU living Heisman winners in a special display case suitable for home or office.

2) Specially commissioned framed painting on canvas of the Selmon brothers during their playing days. The Selmons are, without doubt, he greatest family in the history of Oklahoma athletics. The painting is signed by all three of them. This is a rare item. All three brothers have never participated in a project like this before.

The painting will look something like this -- without Billy on the left of course.

Stay tuned for how you can buy the $10.00 chances if you won't be at any of the tailgates. Winners will be chosen at the last home game and you need not be present to win.

In-person purchases at the tailgates is preferred. However, I'll figure-out something for those who can't come to games but still want to play.
