Heard it on the radio, now my Poke friends are calling me creaming themselves over this. Is he okay? Poor guy seems to have trouble getting away from fluke stuff. Turf toe, knee cap dislocation... ugh.

From the TW, "The offense was without running back DeMarco Murray, a projected starter, because of an ankle sprain, but Wilson said he expected Murray to return to practice as early as Sunday. With Murray out, freshmen Justin Johnson and Jermie Calhoun played extensively. "

**** I don't care how minor an ankle sprain it is. This is big. Let's hope he gets fixed soon. He is reminding me of AD, getting hurt all the time. Don't get me wrong, its not in his control. The kid is busting his butt in practice. This kind of stuff happens sometimes.

Relax... an ankle sprain is sore and swollen, but more than healthy in a week or so... we have three... four weeks if you count the mighty Chatanooga challenge to get DM back. I was just wondering if this was ture. Now that I see the paper has confirmed it, I'm :(... but optimistic.

I say rest him until the opener, or at least until the week before. Its not like we need him for UT-Chatty. Its more important to have him healthy for Cincy. Hopefully this is the last injury news from him. I like to see him on the field. I got a #7 jersey to wear to games this season, so I want him lighting up Big 12 defenses.

AP started out 2007 with an ankle injury and did okay.

Hell... he ran for 180 against :stunned: with an ankle injury. :D

it isnt a high ankle sprain its just a mild sprain, I did this 453 times during my athletic career and it really isnt that big of a deal

He said his ankle was sore after hurdling JJF against Hook'em last year, too. Guys with his running style run high risk for ankle and knee injuries because of the constant shifting, cutting and such.

Let's just make sure he's ready to go, I don't want to go into Texas with any malingering ailments.

Thank you for that mental image.

Now, I'm off to remove my brain with an ice cream scoop to stop the pain.

why? we won't need him until Texas and the oSu game is months away.

just tell them to worry about replacing Bowman and Savage. and beating Troy.

also, remind them that there was a big to-do on the local Tulsa news about an actual hard hit in an oSu practice. seriously.

I'd be more concerned about having friends that "creme" themselves.

Anybody else think he deserves the title "Lucky #7?"

I mean... aside from the bad luck with injuries, he just seems to have brought a little Vegas magic home to Nompton.
