Is Duke Robinson the best Offensive Lineman in Oklahoma Sooner Football history?

Davin Joseph ? Jammal Brown?

Can you compare Guards and Tackles?

In the Stoops era alone I'd put Jammal Brown ahead of him - heck, Wes Sims and Frank Romero were pretty good too. I think as a whole, this offensive line needs to prove its hype this year: they gave Sam great protection last year, but they were inconsistent in run-blocking. Win a national championship this year and we can talk about it....

No.

He might be top 20. Of course, he still has another season to go. All these guys would definitely be ranked ahead of him:

JD Roberts
Jammal Brown
Greg Roberts
Tom Brahaney
Kurt Burris
Buddy Burris
Jim Weatherall
Mark Hutson
Anthony Phillips
Terry Crouch
Mike Vaughan

And probably a handful more.

NCs have zero bearing on how good one guard is. While I'd agree the judgement waits until his Sr. year is finished, he's likely to be the top O lineman in the draft, that would place him pretty high on the overall OU list.

ralph neely too. OU all-american, 12 year dallas cowboy, 4 time all pro, all 60s decade team in NFL.

but it's hard to compare. back then, there weren't weight training programs that put an extra 100 pounds on linemen.

All I know is WVU went through our o-line like swiss cheese. If the big boys don't learn to move we're going to be facing a lot of smallish/quick defensive lineman looking to outrun us.

Given, I'm no football X-O expert but we had some major scheme problems in that game. In too many cases we had 2 guys to block 3 rushers. I'm not sure what happened but I'm sure Stoops has watched the tape a few times.

Yep, we have the most experienced offensive line in the league now. I think we will be alright. 1 game at a time.
