You sure about that? I was under the impression that the next 8-8-08 would happen in 2108...four years before this great year:

I don't know if you'd call it especially cool, but the opening ceremonies for the Beijing Olympics started at that time.

And in my opinion, it was especially cool.

When I was a kid, my dad and I were at the dentist's office (don't ask how I remember), and he nudged me and showed me his wristwatch, the red digital number kind (:les: IT WAS THE SEVENTIES!!!). The time was 12:34. He pushed the button to show the date, and it said 5/6/78.

At the time I was AMAZED that he had figured it out right at that moment. In retrospect he had probably known it was going to happen and had been planning it for a while. But it was cool.
