tropic thunder will rule. Mark it down.

If my kids laugh at him without coming home with an aresenal of bad words, he is doing ok. If I get a bonus laugh or two, so much the better.

And RDJ is doing Cowboys and Aliens, as well as Iron Man 2, The Avengers (more than likely) and Sherlock Holmes.

Busy man.

'bout to be rich man. Or richer man depending on how much money he's snorted away.

The scene with Jack and Joan in the bar having a beer was great.

School of Rock was written for him (by the guy who played the substitute teacher). I thought it was two big thumbs up.

Stiller Screens New Film For Disability Groups
8 August 2008 9:01 AM, PDT

Latest: Actor Ben Stiller has agreed to screen his new movie Tropic Thunder for disability-advocacy groups, after sparking outrage for his portrayal of a mentally handicapped man in the film.

Stiller's character, an actor, takes on the role of Simple Jack in the movie, who is referred to in marketing material as a "retard".

The term prompted organisations to protest to bosses at studio DreamWorks earlier this week (begs04Aug08).

Executives responded by setting up meetings to discuss revisions in portions of the film, including promotional materials and language the activists called "hate speech".

A spokesperson for DreamWorks adds: "It was a very productive meeting."

The company is scheduled to host the screenings of the newly-revised film with members of the advocacy groups before its release in the U.S. on Wednesday.

vegas,
that's what scares me. I understand people's concern with exploiting handicapped individuals, but it they compromise and take stuff out of the film, I will not watch it. The whole purpose of the movie is making fun of Hollywood and how they cast people and the lifestyles.

I don't have handicapped children nor do I know anyone handicapped, so maybe I'm coming from the wrong perspective, but people today are too god damn sensitive. Get over it. It's a movie. YOu don't like it, don't watch it. I hate the Steelers, yet living close to Pittsburgh, they are all that is ever on on Sunday's, so what do I do? Change the channel. If you don't want to see something or you don't agree with it, ignore it and don't watch it. God I hope I start a revolution.

Agreed. It is obvious they are poking fun at the fact that someone attempts to resurrects their career by playing a "retard". (and that someone would actually go on a tangent about how to play a retard successfully)

The aim is at hollywood steroetypes and not disabled people themselves.
