ESPN has compiled a rating system for NCAA men's basketball since the 1984-1985 season, or as they call it, the modern era of NCAA hoops.
Guess where our beloved Sooners wound up on the list?
oSu certainly wasn't considered the best team in Oklahoma, placing in the top 40 but just a meager seven spots ahead of Tulsa. In fact, the Sooners were a full twenty spots higher than the pokes in the #12 position. The only Big XII team ahead of OU in these Prestige Rankings was Kansas at the #2 spot.
