By the OTC. It features the "Sacred Rain Arrow" sculpture by the late Allan Houser. Mr Houser died in 1994. He was a full-blood Chiricahua Apache born among the Ft. Sill Apache People in Lawton in 1914. The statue has been on display in Tulsa at the Gilcrease since 1988. It depicts an Apache archer shooting an arrow into the sky as part of a religious ceremony to make it rain. No doubt the ACLU will file a lawsuit.;)

I like the new tags. Now, if they would just get rid of all the special interest tags, someone's car might actually have that new state tag on it.

I was more partial to the Will Rogers or roping design.

I do like the new Oklahoma font, though. Pretty sharp.

Apparently, "ABC123" is already taken.

The only problem is, that bow is waaaay over stacked. You draw a stick bow to that extreme and its gonna bust on you. And that ain't just Homey talking. That's my full-blooded Creek buddy from near Henryetta talking who has been making and shooting stick bows since his grandpaw taught him in the 1950's.

That said, on the tag, it doesn't look as badly stacked.:D

I think its a beautiful tag, it's in keeping with OUr "brand" image, and it wil be easy to spot miscreants running expired tags once these things are fielded next year.

Now,

BRING BACK "LITTLE RED!"

I just explained the Apache shooting the arrow for rain to my 11 year old daughter and asked if she thought it worked. Her reply: "No, but for someone, it rained an arrow."

I love logic.

You've got a little smarty on your hands. Watch out when she gets to be a teen and questions your logic on curfews and getting good grades.
