I have a job interview today at 1 for a statistician job with Choctaw Nation Health. Sounds like a pretty good gig.

My wife is a stay at home mother so the entirety of our marriage has been me working 2 or 3 jobs at a time and I added college last summer....If I could have 1 good paying job, I would be a lot happier

Anyway I'm very tired as I spent the last 4 days in my attic trying to fix a coil leak and now I m getting nervous.

Prayers and thoughts greatly appreciated.

I've always managed to have a decent job and I'm now a Senior Accountant here at a local health insurance company, but I know how tough it is to go to school while working and taking care of a family. I got my Bachelor's with two kids, building a house and being married while working full time. Props to you.

Good luck, hope teh 'view goes well. Be confident. Show your confidence. You'll be fine.

good luck. i'll be venturing back into the restaurant game pretty soon and i know the stress can bring a brother down sometimes.

Good luck with the interview.

Does the job require you to count "one little, two little, three little Indians..."?

Good luck. Just go in there, be yourself and answer the questions honestly, but don't go on and on. That's off-putting to interviewers.

Smile. And don't fidget.

You'll do fine.

look em straight in the eyes and like Homey said...no BSing.

Remember...you work harder than anyone in the room and probably harder than anyone they interview.

I ended up sitting around talking with the boss and some of the workers for about 2 1/2 hours...She said I would have earned the job on presentation alone without the credentials...Still have a couple of more interviews to do but she said I pretty much had the job...Thanks guys

Good jorb!

I think it's just as important that they size you up as a good fit around the other office people and that may be the 2nd most important piece of the whole interview.

I got my current gig because I've been in my field over 20 years and can talk shop talk. I pegged the "good fit" part because I worked here many years ago and left them on very good terms.

It always helps to leave on a good note and maintain contact with folks you've worked with on your other job. Like in my case, you never know when you may need someone.

STEP - sure you know all this stuff by now. Congrats and let us know what the final outcome is.......

I officially received the job today...I scored the 2nd highest on the scoring system they use, but they told me my demeanor and personality pushed me to the top....I just gave my 2 week notice to my current job..The new job said that they wanted me to start Thursday, but since they just informed me today, they are going to let me work out my 2 weeks with my current job and start paying me for the new job Thursday even though I won't start for 2 weeks....none of that makes sense so read it a few times and maybe it will

Its a 115% pay increase which is amazing..Thanks again everybody

congrats on the job.

That was something we talked about before we got married and started having kids...She worked up until her water broke with the first one and has been at home with them ever since....I know one thing...IMO she has the hardest job there is....taking care of 3 kids is what she says:D (our 2 and me)
