You guys prolly already know this, but for anyone that doesn't: You fit the helmet first, then apply the appropriate face mask based on what position the players plays, and any other requirements or preferences the player might have.

The evolution of headgear is interesting. There's a very pronounced flap covering the jaw area there.

Most concusions come from blows to the jaw, hence the "pronounced flap."
