I know variants of this question have been asked, but we have a number of players who are getting pub going into the season. Which one not on that list will get recognition after the season? My take is Dom Franks. This young man has the speed and instincts to be a big time shutdown corner. I haven't seen enough from him in the return game to see how good he will be, but from what I've heard, he could be really good.:D

Not that likely to happen but I'd like to see Cory Bennett receive more attention. He's been a solid contributor since he was a freshman.

Even though Brody Eldridge received some All BigXII honors last season, I think this is the year he'll get some national attention. The last thing I want to do is bring up anything wv related, but I think he'll be this year's Owen Schmitt. Maybe not the same style of player, but more in terms of the fullback that Corso and his band of idiots chirp about before Herbstreit decides to spend the next two hours gushing over the SEC and Big 10 like it was wearing a short skirt.

#8 Baby

For us to get #8 that's what it will take. We need all of our players to play to their potential, and we need a few to step up and play to a level to where after the season we say: dang, he had an awesome year , he's better then I thought he was.

I think he has the potential to be outstanding. I think he'll be at least really good, and hopefully even more then that. I'm ready to have another superstar in the secondary, it's been awhile.

I say Washington or Broyles. I know we have some depth at DE, but Venables has already said that Washington will play some (mainly 3rd downs) and the guy could be the newcomer of the year. I remember this time last year that the coaches were raving about Broyles talent until he needed some gas, so this could be a good year for him.
