View Full Version : My cat ran away last Friday

and tonight, I found her!!

7 days she lived in this hot weather. She's an indoor cat, so I had no idea if she could survive out there or not. I spent hours after work every night looking for her. My dog and I actually found her about 1/4 mile down the road.

Just kidding, glad you got her back. We had new carpet installed in April and the carpet guys let one of our de-clawed, indoor cats out at some point. We left the garage door open that evening and eventually, she came in there wanting to come in.

how did she escape?

She snuck out last Friday night when I opened the door...and I didn't notice she was gone until Sat. morning.

our indoor-outdoor mouse security cat has been gone a week plus. Not good. Not good at all.

of course she is also our "i think ima pee on these backpacks/beanbag chairs/couch pillows/etc." cat

We took her to the vet this morning. She had a 105°f temperature and an infection. Doc says she probably got into a fight. She was also dehydrated. So they put her on IV and gave her anti-biodics. Total costs....$130.

She drank water for two minutes straight when I brought her into the house last night.

She is probably not as far away as you think. You have to to look hard, under every car, behind every bush, up every tree.

I'm glad you found her!! She's really cute, reminds me of one of my cats.
