I am becoming an IPOD genius in my own mind.

My Wife, Daughter and I got the 4gb Nanos for Christmas.

I've been really setting up ine the way I like it the last week.

I've got about half the Music I own on it and have started weeding out the ones I could do without as the IPOD is nearly full. :(

Anyhoo...if I get it all streamlined...I don't think I'll still have room for the rest of what I want on it. I then face not being able to even put new stuff I want on it. :(

The Question: Should I give my Son this one and go get a 8gb one for myself or should I wait? Am I jumping the gun? Is there something better on the Horizon?

TIA

ST

4 gig is way to small. I would at least go to a 16, for sure.

I would totally be down with a 16 g touch. My 30 g video just seems like it's not being used to its fully capability. I still love it though.

I use my touch more as a PDA now than an iPod. A PDA with my tunes and a couple of movies!

Stone me to death if I'm wrong but isn't watching a 2 hour movie on a screen the size of a cracker the epitomy of trendy? How can you possibly enjoy it? I tried and it didn't work for me.

This looks better to me.

What kind of cracker you talkin' about? Graham? 'Cause that ain't too bad.

For a flight or long wait, it's not too bad. Sure, a movie in 1080p pumping 7.1 sound through the home theater looks and sounds better, but the video and audio quality on the iPhone is enough so that it can serve as a good distraction when I'm bored.

Heh, I guess if you was good (or dumb) you could pull out the 160GB HDD and replace the iPhone's 16GB FD with it. Might have to custom make a new case though.

On long drives or flights, the iPhone/iPod touch screen is FTW!!!

Plus, if your good, you can get it to stay on your cars dashboard. I might not have any idea how fast I am going, but the Enterprise just went Warp 6 :D

It'd drain the battery like a mother, too.

I'm ready for an uprgrade. Unfortuntely, my 80g holds too much (in a way). I need to upgrade my macbook pro HD to 200g. I have <8g remaining (at best)!
