Yes we'll raise taxes, but let's pull-up google earth and just select a random square area and raise just theirs. Let's start with the downtown interdispursal loop, yea that's it.

Yeah, 'cause each and every city employee had an office. Most people are actually gaining real estate. And you want to know who is losing the most office space? Mayor Taylor.

God-awful spelling aside, the proposed tax increase for all for-profit businesses inside the IDL is for the ballpark, not for the move to One Tech Center, which was secured last year.

Next?

Indeed. One Tech's debt service is to be paid by lease revenues from the building and any shortfalls, should they occur, are covered by the Master Lease agreement with BOK.

Well.

I as a taxpayer feel really good about it now.

Maybe someone can do the pencil trick down at the next Counsel Meeting. ;)

I'd make time for that. :D

OK...

When can we expect the I-44 Construction to be finished?

You know...the I-44 and Harvard and I-44 and Lewis I-44 and Peoria areas?

Will there be a nuclear blast at Lewis? :pop:

The I-44 widening project should be finished in 2014. It is broken up into, I think, 3 segments. The segments start at Riverside and move east later in the project.

StoopTroup
7/23/2008, 10:30 AM
What about the Nuclear Blast at Lewis?

I've told everyone about it and now they are asking me when it's gonna happen. :D

I can't wait to see that mess...

I'd imagine it won't be as bad as what us Tulsa Sooners have seen traveling I-35 into Norman though.

Now that was a mess.

I still look forward to the one lane near Martin Luther Blvd. on Gamedays.

2014? really? Six years that highway is going to be un-drivable.

Boomer.....
7/23/2008, 10:54 AM
Actually it might be closer to 2013. I think it was scheduled for 6 years at the start of the project, but that was last year. It is broken into segments and they will completely finish one before moving onto another.

That's gonna be fun. Can't wait to try and navigate that during construction.

Interesting. Do you know if they're closing down sections, or just lanes?

so, the city is taking up the most prime office space in all of the city?

i haven't been following this. when i first heard of it it, i chalked it up to the same group that was putting apartments in the middle of the river with the views of the refineries.

Wait, are you offended that the City is now going to be run out of updated, high-tech, non-mold-infested office space? Awesome.

The old one was broke in the ice storm, which that building reminds me of.

Just lanes. They will move traffic over to one side of the road and finish the work on the other side and then switch to the new road and work on the old part. It will be just like they did at I-44 and Yale.

doesn't the city own a hangar? that would be perfect for the fire trucks.

bri

Um, fire trucks are kept at the respective station houses. Where the firefighters are. We find it works better that way.

man, those city leaders are brilliant. First the fire truck dispersion plan, now the primo real estate for city offices plan, what will they think of next?
