Texas tweaked its policy of requiring a player to be honored as a national player of the year before his or her jersey was retired, resulting in nine additional honorees for 2008-09:

I don't think we retire numbers. I think we just retire jersey's or something like that. I know Wayman's jersey was retired. Thats about all I know tho. :O
