Any recommendations, I went to shawnee lastnite to brush up on my blackjack and won $65 off of $40 so I am ready to hopefully bring home a little money.

What are the best places for blackjack, im looking for $5 tables so I can hang around the casinos a little longer, do they still have any?

We are going to see Jim Gaffigan on Friday night at mandalay bay and I cant wait, anyone know have a recommendation for a good club we can go to thursday night?

I want to go to the aquarium at some point, what else should I def check out while there, ive never been before?

Most of the lower end Strip hotels still have a few $5 tables...but they're few and far between. I know of the following that do:

Sahara (they might still have a few $3 tables too)
Bellagio (only have 2 tables and they're full except between 5-8 am)
Riviera
Harrahs
Excalibur
Bills Gamblin Hall and Saloon (formerly Barbary Coast)
Luxor
Tropicana
Monte Carlo
Circus Circus
Slots-A-Fun (they actually have a $1 table during certain hours)

Gold Coast and Palms have em too if you're willing to head that way.

Have fun, I'll be there in four weeks.

Craps > blackjack...but you have to have a bankroll!

Try Downtown for $5 tables. Binion's, Golden Nugget, etc. I had a lot more fun gambling downtown as opposed to the strip. Have fun, it's a blast!

Actually, downtown has a bunch of $3 tables at Golden Gate and Four Queens.

Craps > blackjack...but you have to have a bankroll!

Craps is the only place in Vegas (or any other casino) where you get true mathematical odds. Odds on Pass bets and Odds on Come bets are true mathematical. If they allow you to place 10 times odds, do it. As far as having a bankroll, craps is a place where you either win or lose FAST. I once turned a $100 buy-in into $9,000 in about 35 minutes. On the other hand, you can turn a $9,000 buy-in into $100 in about the same amount of time.

Where'd you play at for the $9K run? I know Casino Royale near the Venetian has 100x odds.

No I became disenchanted with Blackjack long before poker was on TV. It was the triple decks or single decks shuffled up almost after every hand.

It's ok if you want to play basic strategy a long time breaking even.

You are correct...Carolyn and I have been there twice...and paid him handsomely to play that song loudly for a few Longhorns seated across the room from us. They weren't too happy.

And it's "Battista's Hole-In-The-Wall"...it's on Flamingo Rd. behind Bills Gamblin Hall and Saloon (formerly Barbary Coast) and across the street from Ballys.

I've driven by that joint dozens of times, always heard it was good, but never have taken the time to stop and eat there. I'll fix that next time I'm out there. Immediately north of Flamingo Rd. on Audrie St.
