before I went to see Beer For My Horses. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1178640/) That was the only big down point to Dark Knight, having to see that trailer. I almost vomited.

No offense, Chuck.

WTF? When I saw Dark Knight I saw trailers for Terminator 4, X-Files, Watchmen, and The Mummy.

Yeah, me not so much. No X-files, the BFMH movie, and some others I can't remember right now. I did see T4, Watchmen, and The Mummy. Oh, one was a Leonardo DiCaprio movie.

Thank god I didn't see that damn trailer I would have thrown my popcorn at the screen.

Once again, I thought this was going to be a SimEm thread.

Body of Lies. Yeah, I forgot about that one.

Anyone else see the trailer for Tropic Thunder? That one could be greatness if for no other reason than Robert Downey Jr. playing a white guy playing a black guy.

No BFMH though. Thankfully.

I cannot WAIT for Tropic Thunder.

"I'm sorry a dingo ate yo' baby!"
"Boy, you 'bout to cross a LINE."

I think the new OKC team (Thunder) should have Will Ferrell for its mascot. That would kick ***.

No offense taken. I have no idea about the offending trailer and movie. However, if it helps you feel confident about your choice, I doubt this film makes the gay list of top 5 movies of the year.

We don't need to boycott TK. Look, he's a big Sooner fan, he gives away a lot of money to good causes, and moreover, no matter what we do, we will always be Oklahoma and the mental image that conjures up in the minds of folks around the rest of the country.

The little Broadway musical that did pretty well at the box office in the 1950's is largely responsible for the sterotypes and yet no one is advocating we change the state song or have the Pride stop playing it when they unroll that ginormous Okie flag in Norman on gameday or during the RRS.

We have musical stars in practically all genres of music from Oklahoma, but face it, the biggies are country stars. In fact, Okies reinvigorated Nashville in the 90's when the genre was in serious decline in popularity. Namely Okies named Garth, Vince and Reba. Nowadays, Okies Toby and Carrie are about the biggest country draws out there. And guess what? That's not even necessarily a bad thing. Embrace it. Make it pay. Yee-haw.

I find it offensive you would liken turning gay to something bad. There are any number of things you could equate ill feelings for. Like, uh... GETTING LEPROSY OF YOUR PENIZ or something. Carry on.

The other night I just had to tune in a few seconds of KSBI's hilariously awful Yard Dawgz coverage. af2 is bush-league nonsense to begin with, but however bad you think a four-figure local production of sports can be, you're not thinking hard enough.

Anyway, surprise surprise, Toby Keith's I Love This Blah Blah Blah is a major television and in-arena sponsor, and during one commercial bumper, an announcer was reading copy: "Featuring our famous chicken fried steak and of course, freedom fries!"

March 2003? No...yesterday. Does Tobe imagine this is still a forceful political statement of some kind, expecting patrons to point at the menu and say "Right on, man!"? Still funny, prima facie? Ironic? I just don't know. He may be literally the last restaurateur in America riding this particular train.

Edit: No! The similarly thoughtful Geno's Steaks (http://www.genosteaks.com/ourmenu.html) is also onboard. Keep fighting the good fight, you mighty food warriors! USA! USA!
